present: Gil and Mediha Saliba, Michaela Walston, Sharon Grover, Rozz Tapplin, Liz Brunner.
Because of Covid-19 our board meetings have not been regular and at time have been through phone calls. Our area has now begun giving Covid vaccines and we feel we can more safely meet again and begin a routine of meeting and offering Covid safe classes.
Had 2 successful mosaic classes with Sharon Grover
masks were worn and social distancing was enforced, but everyone was happy to be there and had a good time both days.
Will have a prism/light class March 6, 11-21, with Liz Brunner
Flying Blue Dog rented the kitchen a few times during the Covid months.
Scholl will start again March 29. The older kids will be using the gallery, wearing masks and being spaced.
Gate lock needed some WD40. Works fine now.
If anyone has some new ideas for classes in Spring and Summer let us know.
We could do more pottery, cooking classes, and art classes.
What do we think of some special events?
Michaela suggested a May Day, and maybe an October Fest.
Everyone liked the idea and May 1 was the day chosen for May Day Event. Studio 299 would have venders outside; have a quilt show, and Pj will do pottery demonstrations. The kitchen would serve lunch.
Michaela said she would also have art from the kids for the May event.
October 2, was suggested for the October fest. We could have beer and cider tasting with brats.
And of course we will have our annual Holiday Boutique. It was decided we would do it again in November (the weekend before Thanksgiving—November 20)
We also discussed the need for a new Website. Mediha is working on getting someone to help us.
Meeting adjourned 6:00
